NetworkNotes is an open method, free to use and build on, with attribution. The content and method are licensed CC BY 4.0: use, adapt, and share freely, including commercially, as long as you credit the source.

A formal whitepaper with a citable DOI (via Zenodo) is in preparation. From release 1.0.0 the citation above gains a version number and the DOI, so every version of the method stays exactly citable while the method itself keeps evolving. The DOI is the stable, preferred way to cite the method.
